General Overview		Anthony Hagen is the sole son of Lon and Azuma Hagen. Lon is a prominent politician on Betazed. Hagen was raised to take over Lon's position when he came of age, but Anthony decided that he didn't want to go into politics. The way he was raised however, was great preparation for Starfleet Academy's command program.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Anthony is passionate and caring, and has an amazing sense of focus. He can commit himself easily, and often has no problem making hard choices. However, this same passion can prove to be a roadblock for him. He can have a hard time deciding when it's time to give something up as a lost cause, and sometimes he makes a choice before he can think about the repercussions adequately.
Ambitions		Anthony is often considered to be self sacrificing, which is a direct antithesis to how his politician father acted, in his mind. Hagen is fairly convinced that people in positions of power or with vast amounts of responsibility will lose perspective over time, and makes keeping his own perspective a priority.
Hobbies & Interests		Anthony has an interest in several sports, most notably the human sport of downhill skiing. Other than that, Hagen is interested in literature, writing, and problem solving. He often enjoys completing puzzles.

Personal History		Anthony Hagen was born on Betazed in 2341, to Lon and Azuma Hagen. Lon, Hagen's father, is a prominent politician on the planet, and immediately set out to prepare his only child for taking over Lon's position when Lon retired. Thus, Hagen's childhood was riddled with private school, political studies, political functions, and a plethora of other responsibilities generally not associated with childhood. Not knowing the difference, Hagen applied himself to his studies without restraint. However, after many years of studying to become a politician on Betazed, Hagen realized that he really wasn't interested in entering politics. He was only interested in leadership. To that end, Hagen decided to join Starfleet. This decision was not met with support or excitement from his father. Although his mother believed that Hagen should make the ultimate decision about his own life, she had supported Hagen's father raising him in such a way. Because of this, Hagen's mother couldn't really support Hagen in his decision, either. Because of this, Hagen has little contact with his family. Communication seems to be surface oriented, at best.
